Teamwork’s Hackathon happens once a year and it gives the opportunity to the entire staff to come up with new ideas that can bring value to the platform.
I led a small team of 3 people, designed the concept and hi-fi designs and two front and back end developers colleagues built it in the stage environment.
Through general vote, we were awarded 2nd place. Below is the 2 minute pitch video presented during the competition.
Video edited e scripted by me, using real footage of Watchlists in the staging enviroment.
Teamwork has many ways to organise tasks and projects, but as a user myself (we did use the app as our daily project management tool), I felt there was an opportunity to give users the power to create a list of tasks that were relevant to them. Either per project, per priority, per day, a list that you’re sharing with your manager, etc.
Hence the name “Watchlists:”. Worked with me in this project another two very talented developers, Luke and Guillermo.
This had to be a super quick project and completed in 48 hours. First I created some flows and then moved straight into the final designs.
Those were designed to outline the overall functionality of Watchlists. It was used to "recruit" the two developers to join the project.
The widget would float on screen, on top of the main app. So I focused on designing different scenarios for the widget only.
The widget allows users to share lists with others. Here I outlined how this flow should work for those who are sharing or receiving a list.
After less than 48h we had a working prototype working in staging.
